Betting Rules
These Betting Rules explain the general principles that apply when you use Springbok Casino to place bets or participate in online gambling services. They should be read together with the applicable Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, Responsible Gambling information and any specific rules displayed for an individual game, market or promotion.
Springbok Casino holds a gaming licence issued by the Curaçao Gaming Authority, licence reference OGL/2024/1308/0523, under operator Quadgreen N.V.
1. General betting terms
By opening an account, accessing the site or placing a bet, you agree to follow these Betting Rules and the other terms that govern use of Springbok Casino. If a specific game, betting market or promotion has additional rules, those rules apply to that activity and form part of the relevant agreement. Where there is an inconsistency, the more specific rule will generally apply to the particular game or market.
You must be legally permitted to gamble in your location and must comply with all laws that apply to you. Players in Australia should only use online gambling services where doing so is lawful. You are responsible for checking the rules that apply in your state or territory and for ensuring that your access to the site does not breach any legal restriction.
You must provide accurate, current and complete information when registering and whenever information is requested. An account must be used only by the person to whom it belongs. You must keep your login details secure and must not allow another person to access or use your account. Bets placed through your authenticated account may be treated as having been placed by you, subject to any investigation or correction permitted by the applicable terms.
- You must meet the applicable minimum age requirement before using the service.
- You must not create more than one account unless expressly permitted.
- You must not use the service for unlawful activity, fraud, money laundering or any other improper purpose.
- You must not attempt to interfere with the site, manipulate results or exploit a technical fault.
- You must not place bets on behalf of another person or allow another person to place bets through your account.
Springbok Casino may carry out identity, age, payment method, source-of-funds and other compliance checks where required. Access to betting or withdrawals may be restricted while checks are completed. If information cannot be verified, or if activity appears inconsistent with the applicable terms or legal requirements, an account or transaction may be reviewed, suspended or otherwise handled in accordance with those terms.
2. Placing and accepting bets
A bet is only accepted when it has been successfully submitted through the site and is recorded in your account or betting history. Selecting a stake or confirming a bet does not, by itself, guarantee acceptance. You should check the details of each bet before confirming it, including the game or market, selection, stake, odds or other applicable terms.
Once accepted, a bet normally cannot be changed or cancelled by the player unless a cancellation, editing or cash-out feature is specifically made available. Any such feature may be subject to separate conditions, availability requirements and technical limitations. A request to cancel a bet is not effective until it has been confirmed by the service.
The minimum and maximum stake for a bet may vary according to the game, market, account, payment method, promotion or other applicable factor. Any relevant limits should be displayed before or during the betting process. A bet may be rejected, limited or accepted for a different amount where this is allowed under the applicable rules. If a bet is only partially accepted, the accepted portion will be governed by the displayed terms.
You are responsible for reviewing your account balance and betting history. If you believe a bet has been recorded incorrectly, you should raise the issue as soon as reasonably possible and provide enough information for the transaction to be identified. Records held by the service may be used to determine the details and status of a bet, subject to applicable consumer and legal rights.
Technical interruptions
The site may occasionally be unavailable or affected by delays, connection problems, software errors, maintenance or other technical issues. A bet that has not been successfully recorded may not be valid. If a technical issue affects a game, market, result or settlement, the relevant activity may be paused, corrected, cancelled or resolved in line with the applicable game rules and Terms and Conditions. You should not assume that a displayed message or balance is final until the transaction appears in your account history.
3. Results, settlement and corrections
Bets are settled using the official result or outcome specified in the rules for the relevant game or market. Settlement may depend on an official announcement, event result, game outcome, draw, cancellation or other defined circumstance. Where a specific game has its own settlement rules, those rules explain how winning, losing, void and unresolved bets are treated.
A bet may be declared void where an event, game or market is cancelled, abandoned, suspended, unavailable or affected by an irregularity, unless the specific rules provide another outcome. A void bet is generally treated in accordance with the applicable terms, which may include returning the relevant stake. Related selections in a combined bet may be treated separately or may affect the full bet, depending on the market rules.
If a result is later changed by the authorised source, the settlement may be adjusted where permitted by the rules. Springbok Casino may correct an obvious error, including an incorrect price, result, balance or settlement, and may reverse or amend a transaction affected by that error. Where a correction affects your account, the applicable terms will determine the adjustment.
Displayed odds, prize information, balances and promotional messages may contain a clear or obvious error. A bet accepted because of such an error may be settled using the correct information, cancelled or otherwise handled as permitted by the relevant terms. The availability of a game or market does not guarantee that it will remain available until a bet is placed or settled.
- Check the status of a bet in your account history rather than relying only on a message or screen display.
- Do not place a further bet to compensate for a delayed, missing or unclear transaction.
- Keep records of relevant bet details if you need to ask about a settlement.
- Allow reasonable time for a result to be confirmed where an official outcome is required.
- Follow the specific rules shown for the game or market concerned.
4. Player protection, complaints and responsible gambling
Gambling should be treated as entertainment, not as a way to make money or recover losses. Only gamble with money you can afford to lose. Set a personal budget before you play and avoid increasing your stake because of frustration, excitement or a desire to chase previous losses.
Springbok Casino may provide account tools and information intended to support safer gambling. Depending on availability, these may include deposit or spending controls, time reminders, activity information, temporary breaks or account closure. Any request to restrict or close an account should be made through the available account or support process. Restrictions may not be reversible immediately, and a new account must not be opened to avoid a safer gambling measure.
Consider taking a break if gambling stops being enjoyable, takes up more time than intended or affects your finances, relationships, work or wellbeing. Warning signs can include chasing losses, hiding gambling activity, borrowing money to gamble, feeling unable to stop or gambling to manage difficult emotions. Free support may be available through relevant Australian gambling-help services and community organisations.
Raising a question or complaint
If you have a question about a bet, result, account entry or rule, review the relevant game information and your account history first. If the issue remains unresolved, use the official support or complaints channel made available on the site. Include the account username or other identifying information requested through that channel, along with the date, game, market, transaction reference and a clear description of the issue. Do not send passwords or full payment details.
Complaints are reviewed under the applicable internal process and relevant legal requirements. You should allow reasonable time for a response, particularly where identity checks, payment records, technical logs or an official result must be reviewed. Nothing in these Betting Rules is intended to remove or limit rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian consumer or gambling laws.
These Betting Rules may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to the service, games, legal requirements or safer gambling practices. The current version published on the site applies to future activity from the time it takes effect. You should review the rules regularly and before placing a bet. If you do not agree with an updated rule, you should stop using the relevant service and follow the available account closure or support process.
